I have been practicing Clinical Massage Therapy in the Boston area since 2002. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Colorado and my Massage Therapist certificate from Palmer Institute of Massage and Bodywork in Salem, MA. I am certified in Orthopedic Massage as well, which focuses on the assessment and treatment of orthopedic injuries.
While attending the University of Colorado, I suffered injuries from a 120-foot fall as the result of a rock climbing accident outside of Boulder. After undergoing eight months of intensive treatment including Physical and Massage Therapy, I was able to achieve a full recovery from my injuries, to the degree of completing a marathon and two triathlons to date. Realizing the incredible benefits of hands-on therapy through this experience, I decided to pursue a degree in Kinesiology and follow with a Massage Therapy Certification.
My unique style of bodywork utilizes a combination of Neuromuscular Therapy, Myofascial Release, Sports Massage, Deep Tissue work, and Orthopedic Assessment. I focus my work on the treatment and prevention of acute and chronic pain due to injury, postural distortion and athletic training. I strongly believe in empowering my clients with the knowledge of why they are experiencing pain and how they can take an active role in its elimination as well as prevention.
My clients include professional triathletes, people who suffer from chronic pain, computer users with poor posture, and more generally people who are interested in maintaining healthy lifestyles. My goal is to use my talents in Massage Therapy to help people free themselves of pain so that they may enjoy their lives to the fullest.

Deep Tissue Work with Moderate Pressure
Certified in Pre/Post Natal Massage
Certified Hatha Yoga Instructor
I graduated from the Chicago School of Massage Therapy in 2002, following completion of my B.A. in Anthropology from Ithaca College. I returned to my native Massachusetts in 2004, and have worked as a Massage Therapist in the Boston area since then.
My experience in massage therapy includes certification in Myofascial Release, advanced training in Orthopedic Massage, and completion of Level 1 Thai Massage in Chiang Mai, Thailand. I am also a certified yoga instructor, having completed Barbara Benagh’s 500 hour Art of Teaching course in 2006.
Over the years I have developed my style of bodywork into one that combines many techniques and modalities, and is strongly influenced by my active lifestyle (which now often involves my young son) as well as a committed yoga practice. As an outdoor enthusiast, yogi and health nut, I bring a blend of interests into my massage practice that allows me to work on a multitude of needs. I incorporate Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular, Myofascial Release, and Sports Massage into my sessions.
Although I have given pre-natal massages for many years, I officially became certified in 2012, while I was pregnant with my son. I love working on pre and post-natal clients, and use a wonderful cushioning system that allows the client to lie face down, which feels great!
I am always excited to discuss nutrition and self care and have a lot to share from my own experience. I often give clients yoga poses that I find suitable for their needs and self-care routines. I have an extensive repertoire of various stretches and foam rolling instruction as well. Whether you have just completed a marathon, are a computer athlete or are simply taking care of your body with maintenance care, I will be attentive to your needs.
My goal is to help each and every client in their unique situation feel the best that they can from therapeutic massage.

Therapist Assisted Stretching/Active Isolated Stretching
I was a competitive athlete throughout high school and into college, and I became interested in physical therapy and massage therapy after suffering two serious shoulder injuries. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Colorado at Boulder and both my massage certificate and my Associate’s Degree in Massage from the Boulder College of Massage Therapy, in 2002.
During my massage training, I interned with the University of Colorado’s Athletic Department and Colorado’s Arena Football team, the Crush. During this clinical experience, I was exposed to a broad range of athletic injuries, including strained muscles, IT band syndrome, shin splints, dislocation and subluxation, and deep thigh bruising. Upon completion of my massage certificate program, I decided I wanted a better understanding of Sports and Orthopedic massage, which led me to pursue an Associate’s Degree and additional training in the treatment of sports injuries and orthopedic abnormalities.
My style of bodywork is a combination of deep tissue modalities, trigger point therapy, and sports massage. With these tools, I am able to treat postural deviation, chronic pain associated with postural deviation, and sports or recreational injury to help my clients get back on track with their health and wellness. My goals as a therapist are to assess, treat, and pass along knowledge to my clients. This allows my clients to understand the source of their pain and how they can play an active role in their recovery.
